Video 5 - Drive Less

Drive 50% less or carpool to cut 1 tonne carbon per person per year

Petrol and diesel cars burn fossil fuel. For the average Canberran, driving around town emits almost 2 tonnes of carbon per person per year.

By cutting your driving in half or by carpooling, you can save one tonne from your carbon footprint. This is often easy to do with a little forward planning and it will save you time, stress and money too.

Combined with my tip to get off household gas, you'll save 1.8 tonnes carbon per person per year. Sensational job!
